There are several ways to connect Nice locations to your map.

  • Insert a link to your nice location in the description of the route point.
    This is the easiest way.

  • Create a tag for your route in the tags screen of JSW Route & set this tag to all your routepoints & the nice locations you want to show on your map
create a special (hidden) menu item for your module locations that shows the routepoints of the Route/category of your created route & the nice locations route/category.
Set the tag in the menu item as filter.
Connect the module to that menu item.
All routepoints of your route & all the nice locations you have tagged with the routepoint tag you created are plotted on the module map.

There are more ways to achieve that, but these 2 are the most logical ways.

Along with JSW Route a module JSW ROUTE Map of all the routepoints/items that plots all the routepoints on a map  gets installed.

You can find the module here

Extensions-> Module->JSW ROUTE Map of all the routepoints/items

The module can plot a map of a set of routepoints from a created menu item.
The most handy procedure for setting the route points / markers you want to plot on the map is:

  • Create a menu item for your new route
  • Create a new module JSW ROUTE Map of all the routepoints/items
  • Select the created menu item
  • Give the module a Position (on the right side of the screen & name it for example route1)
  • Set the centerpoint of the map depending on your need
Mostly the coordinates of the center can be used from the startpoint of the route, just copy & paste these here.
  • After you have created the module go to the Route description of the Route & insert the module here where you want it.

Creating a new Route/Category

Creating a new Route/Category is pretty straight forward.

new route

Select Routes/Categories on the main screen on the left

Click on the green button + New

The only mandatory field here is the Title field on the top.

Fill in the title & select the Save & Close  button on the top of the screen.

Your first Route/Category is made.
Beside the name/title of the route you can:

  • Add a description of the Route
  • Add a image to the Route
  • Select the user/owner of the Route in case you want another user to be owner of the route
  • Change the standard folder of the files where for example images of the routepoints are stored
  • Set the standard user rights which users can see the Route on the website
For example you can set this to registered if you want visitors to first make a account before they can see the route

All the routepoints you make in the Route after creating the Route, get the same view rights as the Route itself.
If you set for example the right of a Route to Registered, all routepoints you make inhered that setting automatically.

A Route can only be seen on the website after you created a menu item for your route.
